This was our second time visiting the Inn. They seated us promptly, were kind and courteous and had a nice selection on the menu. We were able to order something for everyone, though for our picky 8 year old that meant bread, salad and dessert. We were very happy and would dine again. One disappointment was the waiter seemed to forget we exists, forgetting to refill our water and generally just disappearing. Alas, a great, local experience less one star for the service oversight.
Phillips Mill has been one of our favorite"special occasion" restaurants in the area for many years. The delicious, high quality food always leaves us and our guests happy. Standout dishes include the lamb, scallops and the filet. Soups are always great and the smoked seafood app is really yummy! The Inn is one of the very few romantic dining restaurants around. Just make sure to get reservations early, because it fills up on weekends and special occasions. One last thing, remember your checkbook or cash, as there's no credit cards accepted. This is one of my only gripes about The Inn. They really need to get with the times. But the food and ambience it's so good that this like annoyance is worth it!

It was very bad. Bad service. Bad food. Not happy. Would not recommend.
My wife and I went to the Inn at Phillips Mill last Saturday night. We were seated outside and the grounds are very nice. The only complaint we have is that the service was extremely slow. It took 45 minutes to receive our salad after ordering. I began to think that maybe they forgot to enter our order. No one mentioned the order was going to take so long or that they were backed up. It would also helped if there were two servers for the outdoor seating area instead of just one.
