My husband was happy with the care he received here; however, their cost estimates are WAY off if you happen to choose them as an out of network provider. The estimate we received showed that our out of pocket expense would be just half of what their charges were; however, unbeknownst to us, their charges were almost DOUBLE what our insurance allowed and were figured as if we were in-network; therefore, we were responsible for the remainder. We expected, from their estimates to pay around $750. The day before the procedure, the office called my husband telling him our out of pocket costs would be over $1100 !! And requested payment from him over the phone that day so she could "close out the account." Unaware of insurance rules, my husband gave a credit card number and paid. I checked our insurance site website that evening and discovered that this office charged over $300. above what the average out of network costs were for a crown in our area. When I challenged the office staff as to why their estimates were so far off and why they estimated our costs as if we were in-network and why they requested payment before the work was done, not giving us a chance to check out the costs first, I received a terse reply of "Well, we aren't mind readers....." Never again....New Hope is way too high rent district for us.
