I ordered dinner. Fried Chicken was supposed to be one of their specialities, the coating was soggy, the taste was not good. It was precooked and just heated up and served. It tasted like it was left uncovered in the fridge and it absorbed whatever else was next to it. The waitress clearly saw that ot was left on plate and asked me what was wrong. I told her, but I still ended up paying for it. It was like she didn't care.
I feel like Norm when I walk into this place - but I act more like Carla. In any case, this neighborhood gem is one I am thankful for. The energy of the staff sometimes outshines the food -- but take that as no detrimental remark. The chef clearly explores new tasteful combinations, and we do enjoy the standard, standing fare. But if it weren't for the staff --- and the masterful bartenders who whip up our beloved French Martinis - we would not be the regulars that we are. Here's to Square One!

Great pub food! Excellent service and food came out quickly. Hostess was wonderful and put our name in when I called. Table was waiting when we arrived.
Food was decent ....cocktails were good....and free popcorn if you wanted
